Pernille Bigaard is the head of the practice area Insolvency Law. She is appointed administrator at the Bankruptcy Division of the Maritime and Commercial Court in Copenhagen and she provides assistance in financial restructurings, bankruptcy proceedings and in various other insolvency situations.
Pernille Bigaard is one of the most experienced trustees of estates in bankruptcy and she has been involved in the restructuring of/bankruptcy proceedings against a number of large Danish undertakings such as Sterling Airlines A/S, Centerplan A/S, Sandgården A/S, Buksesnedkeren A/S and BIVA A/S.
Pernille Bigaard has for a number of years lectured at courses held by the General Council of the Danish Bar and Law Society, including in restructurings of ailing businesses. She has been involved in the drafting of several reports on insolvency law through her former membership of the General Council of the Danish Bar and Law Society and her chairmanship of the insolvency law committee of the General Council of the Danish Bar and Law Society.
Pernille Bigaard is a trained mediator and she is associated with the Danish Mediation Institute. She is also a member of Foreningen af Mediatoradvokater (a Danish association for mediation lawyers) and she has acquired considerable experience in court-based mediation/mediation by participating in the pilot scheme concerning court-based mediation.
